Veronica Cruz-Martinez is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of New Jersey and California who currently resides in New Jersey. She obtained her BA in Psychology from The University of Phoenix and her MA in Counseling Psychology from the Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA. Ms. Cruz-Martinez's experience spans over 18 years with much of her work being with "at-risk" children and adolescents as well as those in active crisis (all ages). Some of the organizations Veronica has worked with are The Hanna Boys Center in Sonoma, CA, Alum Rock Counseling Center in San Jose, CA, NJCU in Jersey City, NJ, and St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Paterson, NJ. Through her work with culturally diverse populations of youth, adults, families and geriatric populations, she knows the importance of providing mental health services and support in a nonjudgmental way through a trauma informed lens.
Ms. Cruz-Martinez uses integrative holistic approaches such as using crystals, essential oils and alternative healing practices such as Shamanic Healing. She strives to empower her clients to heal on a mind, body and soul level. With an open mind and an open heart, she believes true healing can happen. She is connected to many Spiritual healers and when necessary, can make the appropriate referrals. From Hurt to Hope...this is her motto.
